    Long description

NCC-4 (also known as HCC-4) is a CC chemokine. It is a 97 amino acid protein. It exhibits less than 30% sequence identity to other CC chemokines. NCC-4 chemoattracts human monocytes and THP-1 cells. However it does not chemoattract resting lymphocytes or neutrophils. It has been found to supress proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells and induces calcium flux in THP-1 cells. This calcium flux can be desensitized by exposure to RANTES which suggests that NCC-4 and RANTES share the same receptor in THP-1 cells.

    Antibody come from

Hybridoma produced by the fusion of splenocytes from mice immunized with protein preparation from a homogenate of a human mammary tumor and mouse myeloma cells.
